At the recent jewelry shows in New York, the top trend was blackened metal, mostly sterling silver but also steel. Designers on the black wagon include Mizuki (above), Yossi Harari, Gurhan, Sara Blaine, Lika Behar, Sarah Graham, Mazza Co, Old World Chain, Tschetter Studio, Frederic Duclos, Armenta, Artistry, Erica Molinari, Fern Freeman, Devon Leigh, Page Sargisson, Dara Dubinet, and many more.  Why is black so popular in jewelry today?  It’s dramatic, it’s new, it’s often affordable, and it goes with everything.  Black is the new black.
