Top 2020 Oscar Jewelry Trend: Diamond Statement Necklaces
The 2020 Oscar red carpet was full of sparkle and shine with crystals, metallics and plenty of diamonds.
Diamond necklaces, especially in fringe, bib and Cleopatra silhouettes, were the strongest jewelry trend on the red carpet. Here are a few of my favorite diamond necklaces of the night.
Zazie Beetz wore two Bulgari diamond and emerald necklaces that nested together to make one bold statement, elevating her little black dress. Emerald earrings and diamond and emerald rings were the perfect complement.
Florence Pugh accessorized her tiered teal Louis Vuitton gown with a Louis Vuitton necklace from the High Jewelry Riders of the Knight collection and Maria Tash earrings.
Mindy Kaling’s golden Dolce & Gabbana gown was the perfect backdrop for her Chopard diamond necklace that illuminated her face beautifully with a corona of brilliance.
Charlize Theron often wears serious diamonds and this year was no exception. Her $5 million diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co featured a 20-plus carat marquise diamond.
Julia Louise Dreyfus wore Vera Wang in the Pantone color of the year, classic blue with a Harry Winston scalloped diamond pave necklace.
Although her jewelry wasn’t the first think you noticed (that would be her hooded crystal covered dress), Janelle Monáe wore a spectacular diamond choker by Forevermark as the brilliant icing of a very sparkly cake.
Gal Gadot layered a 77-carat diamond and platinum necklace by Tiffany & Co over the lace of her gown.
Idina Menzel followed up her Harry Winston diamond necklace on the red carpet with an even better Harry Winston diamond necklace onstage for her performance.
