The 2020 Oscar red carpet was full of sparkle and shine with crystals, metallics and plenty of diamonds.

Diamond necklaces, especially in fringe, bib and Cleopatra silhouettes, were the strongest jewelry trend on the red carpet. Here are a few of my favorite diamond necklaces of the night.

Zazie Beetz wears Bulgari jewelry to the 2020 Oscars

Zazie Beetz wore two Bulgari diamond and emerald necklaces that nested together to make one bold statement, elevating her little black dress. Emerald earrings and diamond and emerald rings were the perfect complement.

Florence Pugh wears a Louis Vuitton necklace to the 2020 Oscars

Florence Pugh accessorized her tiered teal Louis Vuitton gown with a Louis Vuitton necklace from the High Jewelry Riders of the Knight collection and Maria Tash earrings.

Mindy Kaling wears a Chopard necklace to the 2020 Oscars

Mindy Kaling’s golden Dolce & Gabbana gown was the perfect backdrop for her Chopard diamond necklace that illuminated her face beautifully with a corona of brilliance.

Charlize Theron wears Tiffany to the 2020 Oscars

Charlize Theron often wears serious diamonds and this year was no exception. Her $5 million diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co featured a 20-plus carat marquise diamond.

Julia-Louis Dreyfus wears Harry Winston to the 2020 Oscars

Julia Louise Dreyfus wore Vera Wang in the Pantone color of the year, classic blue with a Harry Winston scalloped diamond pave necklace.

Janelle Monae wears a Forevermore necklace to the 2020 Oscars

Although her jewelry wasn’t the first think you noticed (that would be her hooded crystal covered dress), Janelle Monáe wore a spectacular diamond choker by Forevermark as the brilliant icing of a very sparkly cake.

Dina Menzel wears Harry Winston necklace on the Oscars 2020 red carpet

Idina Menzel followed up her Harry Winston diamond necklace on the red carpet with an even better Harry Winston diamond necklace onstage for her performance.

Absolutely love Zazie Beetz’s emerald jewelry. Its so refreshing to see Hollywood embrace jewelry again. It adds a sense of class and old world flare to the occasion. I definitely thin the Oscars warrant such a glamorous look.

This is such a great article. I too believe this will be the trend carried forward. I specially liked the diamond choker worn by Janelle Monáe. It looked so elegant. That piece of jewelry was my favourite.
